BARONY CASTLE EASTER EGG HUNT
Easter Sunday was a busy one for our event managers, Craig and David. Within the splendid gardens at the Mercure Barony Castle near Peebles, ABC Events held an Easter egg treasure hunt and an arts and crafts zone for both the hotel guests and local families to enjoy.
The outdoor Easter Egg hunt proved very popular despite the dreich morning, with only one group from four actually getting caught in a down pour, which was serendipity at its best. Our treasure hunters were geared up to seek egg baskets hidden around the spectacular Polish Map of Scotland, a topographical rendition, within the castle grounds.
The children – sorry – treasure hunters, eagerly followed clues and signs to find the elusive Golden Egg.
The Indoor Easter Treasure Hunt was also very popular as kids had to search within the hotel for hidden Easter treats. Some of the treasure proved tricky and a lot of parents really got into it too! It’s good to see how motivated you can be when there is chocolate at stake!
The Arts and Crafts zone was extremely popular with kids of all ages getting involved in making their own Easter cards from the huge selection of paints, pens, glitter n glue involved and colouring in pictures in a rainbow of colours.
All in all, everyone who participated had a fantastic time and with attendance and good reports all round, Barony Castle vowed to repeat its success again next year.
From the ABC Events team, thank you to Mercure Barony Castle for hosting such a great event and a big thanks has to go to Corina for organising it.
We look forward to another EGG-cellente Easter event next year!
